Style consistency is a different problem from character consistency - the whole frame has to agree with itself, every shot. Here's how the period look got held from script to final grade.
The route we ran. Because the goal was a period look holding steady across every shot rather than one character holding steady across a runtime, two extra steps earn their keep: the OpenCV re-alignment pass that locks the first/last frame pair to the same background geometry, and the custom 1958 black-and-white LUT plus per-clip CDL match that pulls all six MiniMax shots to one grade before the film-break transition and dust go on. Gold marks the locking, batch, and export milestones.

Grok
Writes the script - the timestamped scientist/boy dialogue.
Grok Imagine
Iterates group shots of the three leads together, 3-6 passes.
Nano Banana
Locks the character designs and generates the matched first & last frame stills.
OpenCV
ORB feature match + affine warp to re-align the frame pair to the same 1344×768 background.
MiniMax H3 · FL2VA
First + last frame to video+audio, Comfy Cloud. 362 frames, 15.08s, structured prompt with timestamped dialogue.
DaVinci Resolve
Cuts the six shots together, applies a custom 1958 B&W LUT and per-clip CDL match, and builds the film-break transition and dust in Fusion.
